Begin by Listening
Start by listening. Join a kīrtan, attend a lecture, read a few verses from the Bhagavad-gītā, or speak with a devotee. Hearing spiritual sound and wisdom opens the door to deeper understanding and personal experience.
Spiritual life begins with small steps. You do not have to change everything at once. Begin by listening, chanting, asking questions, and spending time with people who cultivate a spiritual way of life.

Try chanting: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare, Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare Chant attentively and listen to the sound. Even a few minutes each day can bring peace and inner transformation.
Attend a Sunday program or another beginner-friendly event. Seeing the temple, hearing kīrtan live, asking questions, and tasting prasādam often make spiritual life feel real and tangible.
The Bhagavad-gītā is the best place to begin. Read slowly, note your questions, and discuss what you read with practitioners. Spiritual wisdom is best understood when studied with guidance and applied in daily life.
As your interest grows, you may wish to chant on beads (japa), offer food at home, attend more programs, volunteer, follow spiritual practices, or study regularly. The spiritual path is personal and gradual, and our community is here to support you along the way.
